* "WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" permission is required in order to rename or deletion of files and to store the downloaded subtitles. * "READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" permission is required in order to read your media files in your primary & secondary storages. * "Other app capabilities" for various activities like checking network status, Streaming, controlling bluetooth device, controlling the touch feedbacks, blocking keys with kid lock feature. * "Access Photos/Media/Files" permission to read your all media files on your storage MX Player needs permissions on the following categories: SubStation Alpha(.ssa/.ass) with full styling. Zoom and Pan is also available by option.ĭ) SUBTITLE GESTURES - Scroll forward/backward to move to next/previous text, Up/down to move text up and down, Zoom in/out to change text size.Į) KIDS LOCK - Keep your kids entertained without having to worry that they can make calls or touch other apps. Test result proved that multi-core device's performance is up to 70% better than single-core devices.Ĭ) PINCH TO ZOOM, ZOOM AND PAN - Easily zoom in and out by pinching and swiping across the screen. It needs very specific hardware.Powerful video player with advanced hardware acceleration and subtitle support.Ī) HARDWARE ACCELERATION - Hardware acceleration can be applied to more videos with the help of new HW+ decoder.ī) MULTI-CORE DECODING - MX Player is the first Android video player which supports multi-core decoding. I don't think the hardware decoder in even very recent high end video cards can handle this codec. MPV can play it but it's dropping frames. VLC play back 3 seconds of video, freezes on gray frame and then 3 more seconds, repeat. Even with my Ryzen 3900 and RX5600XT system I cannot play back these video files. I don't have an R6, but I download a full size sample. So if you experience poor performance or high temperatures on that site, then this may be the cause. This is now pretty much the default format on YouTube. On a side note, your GPU also does not appear to have support for hardware accelerated decoding of VP9. My understanding is that VLC can theoretically attempt to decode anything in software but I have my doubts whether 4K H.265 via software decoding is realistically possible even on a modern CPU. If that’s correct, then according to the page linked below your GPU does not appear to have hardware accelerated decoding for H.265. I have not experienced any issue regarding it not working for any of the basic things I have used it for.įrom what I’m finding, your laptop has a GTX 980M GPU. I will ask the same as already mentioned - What is your reluctance to try VLC. Please if anyone has any other solutions. Canon CPS said I should go to Microsoft directly hence I bought the codec for HEVC. Even after buying codec from Microsoft no luck in playing 4K footage. Is this a known issue? I already downloaded the Canon HEVC Activator, which didn't help.Īnyone has a solution for this (except downloading VLC)? I'm getting error code 0xc00d3e8c in Movies & TV and "Error -2401" in Quick Time. My problem is that I can't open it on any of the video apps that I have (Quick Time, Windows Media Player or Movies & TV). I shot a 120fps 1080p test video on my new Canon EOS R6, the mp4 has a size of 4.01gb so I had to transfer it to my Windows 10 PC using EOS Utility instead of just copy-pasting it through the windows explorer.
